The “1064 nm Nd:YAG FRAC3®” method is optimized to deliver high-intensity laser pulses in extremely short times of less than 2 ms, short enough to destroy most hair types while avoiding unnecessary damage to the epidermis. Due to the relatively low absorption of melanin, Nd:YAG laser treatments can also be used safely and effectively on darker skin types.
Several areas or all unwanted hair on the face and body can be removed simultaneously in one session. Laser treatment should preferably be carried out from October to the end of April, except for facial hair, which can be treated all year round due to psychological stress.

COMMON QUESTIONS ABOUT THIS TREATMENT
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Before the laser treatment, the hair should only be shaved for three weeks and shaved again three days before the treatment to evaluate its color and thickness.
For optimum results, 4 to 8 sessions are required, with treatment intervals of 4 to 6 weeks, adapted to the skin type and treatment region. Occasional hair regrowth can occur due to hormonal changes, which can be avoided permanently.
Contraindications for laser hair removal include use on tanned or damaged skin. Treatment should also be ruled out if you are taking medication that increases photosensitivity (such as certain antibiotics and antidepressants) or vitamin A acid. People with diseases that lead to increased sensitivity to light (e.g., lupus erythematosus) should also not be treated with lasers. Blonde or gray/white hair reacts less effectively to laser treatment due to a lack of pigment. In such cases, careful evaluation is required to avoid unrealistic expectations of treatment success.
